I apologize already if this question has been asked in the past.

I have been looking the different ship available in different store and my choice went to a nice Schooner (http://media-2.web.britannica.com/eb-media/27/123127-004-947FF48A.jpg). I took it basicly for the look.

Now is each ship in SL presenting different attribute in term of speed, reaction to the wind, maneuvrability, fire power, etc...?

I have the feeling they are pretty much similar...same numbers of canon etc....

Generaly hmm I dont think there are that big difference in the sailing,
there can be some different settings there make a difference in speed
and turn and the feeling of the ship. Another thing there have differens
is the HP after ship type. Cannons I dont know if there are any difference
in fire power or precisions. There are different cannon placement layouts
front, rear and side cannons.
I mostly think like you that it is a personel choise after look and interest,
I like the ships wiht lots of sails, it looks so good for full sail. I want
the frigate in sea batles!!!

I still prefer my SPD Adjong for an endurance battles (last ship sailing) - it is only my second fastest ship. The SCS Schooner is the easiest war ship I have ever sailed. The TSS Shebec is my fastest and is no too much harder to sail the Schooner. The HUD that comes with the new Corsair will make it very easy for beginners to sail. The Tako 3.l3 with its HUD is the easiest starter boat there is.

uhm, Aye, I also have tryed the Adjong and most say I like it. Eithere its the ship
or me, I dont know but I think we sail better :)
The SPD3 I look forward to, I notist that Chase Speculass wrote taht crew member could set the sail also wiht the HUD, that I think could be fun try out, but then have a crew to sail setting and gunners.. hmm.. 5 or 6 avatars over a sim cross same time and it nearly shure we end at the bottom.

I am very happy at the moment about the SCS Schooner.
Realy it is a fast ship and I realy enjoy battle with her.
She goes very well against wind and it is great to take an escape way when things turns wrong.

Too bad the HUD cannot be share with guners. I guess my gunner is having hard time sometimes to see in the smoke :¨)
