I fell in love with the people. Antiquity is a place like no other.
Tell us a little about your SL self?
After the death of my father Running Bear, I was sent to live with a family in France that were supposed relatives of my mother who had long since passed. Quickly, I realized I had been placed in their service moreso than in their family. Out the window of my small room I could see the ocean and vowed one day I would change my situation. When the day finally came, my adventure in Antiquity began when I happen-chanced upon a lady standing on the porch. When I stopped to look and she spoke to me, I was relieved I was not admonished for my staring. We shared a lemonade on her porch and she told me she Janna Harsley and was a pirate in Antiquity. She spoke of her adventures, and I was so intrigued I thought to spend some time learning of this place. Unfortunately, within days, I was penniless and sleeping in the forest. Mind you, I was happy though. The great tree I found sanctuary under looked down over the most beautiful lands I had ever seen. And the waters of Antiquity beckoned me just as I had heard the call of the sea from my room in France.
Days passed and it began to rain and rain. I was cold and wet the day I walked across the bridge from the Township into Antiquity Texas. There was a man with a long cape and crown watching me. His name was Tocho Cortes, none other than the General of the Texas Army. He said I could stay in the Mission where I would be warm and safe. The good people of Texas embraced me and I realized the love of a true family I never had with him and his brother Jacon Cortes.
One day, walking in the township, a man approached me and we chatted for a time. Next thing I knew I was in an airship flying high above the ground. It was fantastic as were the people who I met. Lord Tendaze even gave me some money with which I bought my first horse named Avalon. Within days, I was working for none other than the Grand Duke himself in Antiquity Township as a greeter. I loved my job and met more and more wonderful people, residents and visitors alike. I continued my work as a greeter, and also worked as a personal assistant and actress. In time I was presented with a gift of my own home in Antiquity Harbor by the Grand Duke and Duchess for my efforts.
A letter arrived one day from Alexandra Lowenhart. She wrote she was being dispatched to find me by a lawyer in France, and that I had inherited a goodly sum of money. Alexandra came to Antiquity and became my personal assistant and close confidant. My accounts prospered and I acquired an additional property for my stable and an upstairs apartment for Alexandra.
I met my husband-to-be Pegleg Gans whilst greeting in at the Lagoon dock in Sea of Antiquity. He was repairing an incredible tallship, and I was in awe of his talent and that of the others who busied themselves with the same kind of work. I learned he was a pirate and so were most of the others whom I had befriended. The call of the sea was just too strong, and I spent most of my days learning about repairing ships and sailing the seas of Antiquity. My time as an Antiquity Greeter came to an end when I informed the Grand Duchess I had accepted the proposal of a pirate. Peg and I were married on July 22, 2008 in Antiquity Texas.
We now live in Antiquity Charon Abyss on the great ship Whydah. I am now a pirate captain of my own galleon The Southern Cross and the corsair Black Whydah. Alexandra chose to join the Royal Antiquity Navy. Alexa and I purchased what is now Dunkerque, a sim dedicated to Jean Bart, a 17th century corsair, who in addition to capturing nearly 400 ships, commandeered a huge convoy of Dutch grain ships, saving Paris from starvation in 1694.
I became active in the Save Our Sim effort and purchased Laconia sim where there is now incredible atoll island grouping designed by Alanxo Etchegaray and housing for pirates. We see it as our mission to protect the open waters of Antiquity for sea battles and very much enjoy the life we have made in the southern waters of Antiquity.
