I recently, and quite happily, discovered that there are some roleplay logs from a roleplay game I played for approximately 8 years. I have posted the link below to show some of our work. I met this man while I was still employed by the American colony. I sailed in one day to find this large intimidating, loud and well dressed Scotsman patrolling the beaches of the Americas bay. Since a discussion popped up yesterday on battle chat about the use of square sails to get out of irons on SPD ships, I have been looking for some correlation between how the ships behave in SL to the RL sailing physics. It has been months since I overtook the Merchant vessel from the East India Trading company. The vessel has served me well and taken me to distant cities where I have been able to unload the goods. One such place was a little bay on edge of Jamaica, it is little known to most sailors and the British Navy seems to be more interested in maintaining control of Port Royal. For me role playing and sim ownership are two different things. So for me to be role playing a Senator I can't do it with a Pirate persona. So if I show up to meetings in some other Avatar Form then that is what is going on.
To me the Senator position is more about sim representation and is an Out of Character position for me.

I have traveled far and wide these past few months. My task as the Merchant Captain with the Americas colonies has proven quite lucrative. I have aquired textiles from India as well as a comodity made from flower seeds known as poppies. The people I have traded with seems to really like the smoke from this product. For kicks and giggles I've added a Jukebox to my profile sheet. Loaded up with at least 6 or 7 versions of the Watch Tower which has been discussed at length in one of my other blog posts. Along with other piratey songs, sailing songs and so forth. I'll be adding to this music other songs that inspire me while I am thinking/doing SL. I have some seabitch inspired songs too. I found this today it is a translation of a text written by a man who joined a group of Bucaneers/Pirates and sailed with them for several years. It is an accounting of their adventures and misdeeds.
